SEARCHING FOR PEACE

My mother, 86 years old, called me on February 24th, 2022 — the day Putin invaded Ukraine — and said she didn’t want to live if there would be a third world war. As a child in Luleå, she experienced World War II and often told stories about the internment camps for Norwegian women who had children with German soldiers, as well as the German trains that passed through Luleå on their way to Northern Norway carrying soldiers and supplies.
My reaction to this was to create a series called MAKE LOVE NOT WAR
