MAKE LOVE NOT WAR

On February 24, 2022, my mother called me, crying uncontrollably when Putin invaded Ukraine. She said she didn’t want to live if a third world war were to break out. She had grown up in Luleå during World War II and often told stories about how she, together with my grandmother and aunts, brought warm clothes and toys to the internment camps for Norwegian women (who had children with German soldiers) outside Luleå. A terrible time. History is repeating itself. My response became a series titled MAKE LOVE NOT WAR.
